What is the SECC? State legislation created the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) in 1993 Employees of state agencies, junior & community colleges, and universities across Texas Prior to 1993, charitable orgs would stop by offices throughout the year, often without appointments, and make their ‘ask’. The State Employees Charitable Campaign is the only statutorily authorized workplace campaign for state agencies and higher education employees throughout Texas.

SECC Highlights It happens only once a year: September 1 and ends October 31. It’s SUPER fast! Campaign goal is to collaboratively and positively impact the health and welfare of our local, state, national and international communities. Since 1994, the SECC has raised over $8,485,000, and is one of the largest state employee campaigns in the U.S.
