McNair Summer Learning Rachael Blanchard and Karen Harris
Outcomes: We will share strategies for keeping your students engaged in learning over the summer. We will explain the summer learning incentive program.
Summer Slide During the summer, when children don’t read, they tread water at best, or even fall behind. It’s what we call “Summer Slide”. Children who read build their skills steadily over the summer months.

Students may log on to http://www.fcps.edu/is/book/ to learn how to win additional prizes from FCPS.
Other Information Bingo boards and some summer reading tips will be sent home with your child’s report card on the last day of school.
