Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) What is it? Health and Wellbeing Board responsibility A comprehensive assessment of pharmacy services in Warrington Done every 3 years Used by NHS England when assessing applications from pharmacies JET 2014

Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) How do we do it? Look at need Look at current service provision Talk to pharmacists Talk to members of the public Use all information to make recommendations JET 2014

Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) Previous PNAs Found adequate levels of provision across Warrington 2012 PNA found gap in provision in specific locality Public responses have been used to help inform decisions JET 2014

In the last 12 months have you had any problems finding a pharmacy to get medicine dispensed? Are you satisfied with the opening hours of your pharmacy? Does your pharmacy deliver medication to your home if you are unable to collect it? ??? Have you had a consultation with a pharmacist in the last 12 months?
