Reflections on Transition Moses, Joshua, and Othniel Joshua’s selection (Num. 27:15-23) Joshua’s affirmation (Joshua 1:16-17) Joshua’s successors (Judges 2:7-11)
Reflections on Transition: Prayer Jesus and His Disciples Prayer in selection (Luke 6:12-13) “One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles.” Prayer for perseverance (John 17:15-21) “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
Prayer We thank you for your continued prayer and involvement during this special time in our church!
