Definition of culture: is the set of value, symbol, beliefs, and language that guide human behavior within that culture. Cultural beliefs and values. Culture differences. Language is another is another important culture dimension that could affect international human resource management practices.

According to a Dutch scholar he defined five dimension of culture: Power distance. Individualism vs. collectivism. Masculinity vs. femininity. Uncertainty avoidance. Time orientation.
