Phonological and Phonemic Awareness FIVE SKILL AREAS within the software: Blending Segmenting Phoneme Identification (what sound does cat begin with) Rhyming Phoneme Manipulation (sound substitution, addition, deletion)

What Will You Do: Log on as teacher Make Groups or Set up Individual Students Make Modifications Peruse Student Games .

Make Group, Add Students Click Groups

Manage Groups Click create. .

Add Group Name and Description Name Group Write description Click SAVE

Edit Group Assign Students

Assign Students to Group 1.Search student name. 2.Select student. Click Add. 3.Click Save

Set Activity Preferences for Group

Set Activity Preferences Click drop down, choose Foundations or Connections. 2.To remove an Activity, click on it. 3. Click on the black REMOVE box. Click SAVE.

Activity Modifications 1. When you click on the Activity, Tasks and Descriptions display. 2. Note the Response Time to the left. This may be adjusted if needed.

Program Modifications! Students are assigned to Foundations or Connections based on their grade level: (K-1) Foundations, (2/3) Connections

Setting Activity Preferences for students not assigned to a Group 1.Click Students Tab 2.Enter Student Name, Click SEARCH 3. Click on Foundations or Connections.

Setting Student Passwords 1. Click Students 2.Click Set Password 3.Type password in box.

Model Activities for Students 1.Click on the Home Tab. 2. Click Play Activities as Educator.

Peruse Student Games Work through the Scavenger Hunt.

How to Generate Reports Click the drop down. Choose type of report, i.e. STUDENT. 2. Click the drop down. Choose type of PROGRAM, Foundations or Connections. 3. Click the drop downs for SCHOOL, TEACHER, and STUDENT. Enter your school name, your name or Unassigned, and student name. 5. Click GENERATE REPORT. 4. Enter the report dates.

Sample Report
