Welcome! Welcome to the student mail system for Hondros College. Your student mail account will be the only email account the College, faculty and staff will use to communicate with you. It is important that you check it regularly.

Acceptable Use The mail system is covered by the College’s Acceptable Use policy. Be sure to read the Acceptable Use Policy and abide by the terms and conditions set forth in it.

Is Your Mail Account Ready? Your student mail account is set up around the same time as you are registered for classes, on or after the 7th week of the current term. You will receive an email from the Helpdesk with your specific account information and instructions once your account has been created. If you have not received an email by student orientation, please contact your admissions representative for assistance.

Student Mail and Pop-Up Blockers Before you can use the mail system, you need to make sure that you have disabled your pop up blockers. Both the student portal and the mail system use pop ups, so it is important that you disable them now.

Student Mail and Pop-Up Blockers You will need to turn off the pop up blocker built into your web browser as well as any pop up blockers contained within any web browsing toolbars you may have installed, like the Yahoo, MSN, Google or AOL toolbar. If you are not sure how to do this, follow this link to a document on how to disable many common pop up blockers.

Your Account Info Initial Account Information: In most cases, your user name will consist of the first initial of your first name plus your last name. For example - if your name was Sally Sample, your user name would be ssample The system typically sets your initial password to P@SSword

Logging In The mail system is reached via the student portal. Look for the link in the navigation bar called ‘My Email’ Click on this link and the mail login page will open in a new window. If the pop-up window doesn't appear, go back to step one. You could have more than one pop-up blocker installed. Each tool bar (AOL, Yahoo, MSN, Google, etc.) has its own blocker and each must be disabled.

New Student Account Setup Enter your user name and password and click on the Sign In button. Please enter your password in lower case letters. The next screen will prompt you to enter that password a second time and also enter the letter/number sequence in an image that will appear on the page.

New Student Account Setup Once you enter both successfully, you will be taken to a new screen where you are prompted to change your password. Change your password by entering your old password one last time and then your new password twice. Make sure the password you choose is something easy to remember. The next time you log in, you will need to use your new password.

Selecting a New Password Your new password must be at least six characters long, contain at least one number and should be something easy to remember. Be sure that the password you choose is something you can easily remember. If you forget your password, the system will not send you a reminder. You must request a password reset from the helpdesk.

If you ever lose your student portal password, you can use this bookmark to get to your mail and retrieve your portal password.

Help for Lost Passwords Never share your student mail or student portal password with anyone. If you lose your email system password, you need to request a password reset from the helpdesk. Email the helpdesk at customercare@hondros.edu. Give your name and ask to have your mail password reset.
