How to use the mobile friendly http://m.edofe.org

The first time a participant logs into eDofE they must use the full website. www.edofe.org to add their basic details From then on, most things can be uploaded very easily via the mobile friendly site following these instructions

Load a web page on your phone/tablet Type in https://m.edofe.org/ in the search bar or just m.edofe.org The log in page will load equally well in landscape or portrait view Type in the user name(not case sensitive) And the password(is case sensitive) And click “sign in”

You can return to the main screen at any point by clicking on the in the top right of the screen Then selecting “My <Bronze/Silver/Gold> DofE” You can also sign out of eDofE on this popup. Or check your ID number Or change your profile picture by taking a selfie!

Sections can be added to the mobile site, in the same way as on the full website.

Aims, Goals and assessor details are still required

Finally select the leader and submit for approval

You may have noticed that there is a manage evidence bar at the bottom of each section screen. The section details and manage evidence information can be minimised simply by clicking on the bar.

Tap on Manage evidence You will see that you can add photo or text evidence

By clicking on Add Photo you will be prompted to either take a photo, add one from your photo library or icloud or even by using Dropbox or Google Drive When adding Text evidence simply tap the “add new text” bar.

Always remember to select the correct leader and tap “save and submit”

Mark as assessor report (if appropriate) and tap “save and submit”

For the expedition section simply add the mode of travel and the aims and goals.

Using the mobile friendly site has huge benefits It is easy to access It is instant, no waiting for the scanner or taking a photo with a camera and uploading it to a PC You don’t have to wait for the IT suite to be available. Most young people have access to a smart phone. Young people can add evidence whilst they are doing their activities…while completing first aid or route planning, while clearing the garden for an old person or playing sport.

The only downside…………… The only downside……………............................... at the moment it is only available for DofE participants and not DofE leaders. Watch this space for any new developments. NOW IT’S YOUR TURN….
