Build a 4 yr. relationship To help navigate through the HS experience Counseling, advocating, listening, supporting, encouraging, information, building self-advocacy & life skills Help set goals Recognize strengths & weaknesses Help to determine course of study Post high school planning

Schedules & Graduation Requirements Reading a schedule 80 minute blocks ( yellow handout ) 2nd semester classes 6.5 credits each year – will graduate with more than the minimum 22 credits All classes bear credits that count towards graduation Graduation requirements (green handout)

High School Expectations Teacher communication All students do not have the same schedules. Back to School Nite ( 9/29 ) Clubs Fair (9/15) HS Lobby Lunchtime Opportunities Academically challenging school More homework- it counts.

Practical Topics Add/Drop Forms usage - begins 9/19 Add/Drop of classes with NO Notation on Transcript –deadline 10/11 Afterwards a notation of DP or DF will Appear Pass/Fail Classes Independent Study Community Service Parent Portal ( hohschools.org )
