Who can apply? The Program is open to students who are studying a PhD, Masters, Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate The Program is available to ALL postgraduate students, including those studying at the Bentley campus, the Graduate School of Business, the Kalgoorlie WASM campus, and those students who are studying externally. It is also available to part-time students Mentees are encouraged to apply during their first six months of study.

How does it work? New students will be assigned to a senior postgraduate who is in the same school Mentors will meet with their students several times each semester to provide advice, guidance, and support

Who are the mentors? Mentors will be senior students enrolled in the same school as their mentees. They will provide guidance and advice on issues such as: working with supervisors workload management surviving the research candidacy process how to prepare for assessments balancing study and social life learning strategies general campus information, including support services. Mentors will be provided with training prior to each semester.

What are the benefits of being a mentee? Peer networking opportunities Have a contact in your learning area Campus orientation Workshopping opportunities Communication, motivation and time management skills Being part of a collaborative and supportive research environment A greater involvement in the Curtin student community
