Kettletoft Regeneration Project It sometimes feels like it but… …YOU ARE NOT ALONE Board of directors/trustees Consultants DTAS HIE/SLF advisor HIE – local support Local councillor Other community groups VAO Help! I need somebody!

Kettletoft Regeneration Project It will take longer than you think Use the support and help that’s there Clear your diary Don’t reinvent the wheel You’ll always forget something Get your tender absolutely perfect Keep communicating You can’t make everyone happy People don’t always do what you expect If you can’t do something, don’t panic – there’s always someone who can! I’ve learnt my lesson…

We have a vision Harbour House Offer as a gateway house, potential incomers can ‘try before they buy’ on the island Yard Cleared and cleaned up – family recreation area – play equipment, seating, pretty planting Kettletoft Stores Renovate the structure throughout, offer retail and office space in the downstairs – coupled with business support to help local residents start and develop their own businesses

Kettletoft Regeneration Project Finalise renovation plans for Harbour House Apply to Islands’ Housing Fund for support towards the renovation costs of Harbour House Agree the sales for the remaining properties Apply for funding to support the costs of bringing these sites back into use too Employ a project manager so I don’t have to do it all Start delivering real community benefit So what’s next?

Kettletoft Regeneration Project It’s really hard work and some days you’ll wonder why you bother But it is worth it 
