AG/RES. 2883 (XLVI-O/16) ANNEX INTER-AMERICAN PROGRAM FOR THE PROMOTION AND PROTECTION OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF MIGRANTS, INCLUDING MIGRANT WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES Among the actors of the Program, the Inter American Children’s Institute – IIN – is contemplated. Suggested actions: Consider within its actions the acknowledgement of the particular situation of migrant children and adolescents that travel without company. Incorporate within its programs and activities the consideration of the protection and reintegration of children and adolescents victims of human trafficking.

Dissemination and follow-up for advisory opinion OC-21/14 “Rights and Guarantees of Children in the context of Migration and/or in need of International Protection” Resolution CD/RES. 07 (90-R/15) invites the origin, transit or reception States that face migratory flow of children, specially the non accompanied or separated from their families, to strengthen their protection systems; and to develop an articulated work between the origin and destiny countries as an effective mechanism to support the attention to this problematic. International Seminar on the OC-21/14. “Declaration of Montevideo to the follow up of the OC – 21/14 for its effective application”, that counts with 94 institutional adhesions.

Analysis of protocols for the return of non accompanied children An analysis of the protocols used by: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico was realized, taking as a reference OC 21/14 The document Survey Doc. 2016 Terrain visits to El Salvador and Guatemala collecting proposals and experiences of the operators Within the PIC, during the second semester of 2017 an on-line course will be developed in coordination with the IOM.

Inter-American Cooperation Programme for the Prevention and Eradication of Sexual Exploitation, and Smuggling of and Trafficking in Children CD/RES. 10 (82-R/07) - CD/RES. 04 (87-R/12) Collect and update information on the thematic of CSEC, traffic and smuggling in the region and make it available of the Party States. Generate information and knowledgement on the topic of CESC traffic and smuggling that contributes to the design and implementation of policies and actions destined to the approach of this problem.
