GETTING BACK ON COURSE Text: Proverbs 16:25

With All the Voices in Our Heads, How Do We Know Which Direction Is Right?

I. DON’T ALWAYS TRUST YOUR SENSE OF DIRECTION “The great thing in this world is not so much where you stand, as in what direction you are moving.” Oliver Wendell Holmes (1809 - 1894) US Author and physician

I. DON’T ALWAYS TRUST YOUR SENSE OF DIRECTION (Contd.) The word used in our text for “way” is the Hebrew word “derek.” When it is used figuratively is refers to “a course of life or a mode of action.” The word “direction” according to the Oxford Dictionary is “a course along which someone or something loves, or which leads to a destination.”
