SBA/HSGA Computer Based Testing Part 4: Assigning Accommodations An accommodation is an optional tool or feature that can enhance a student’s testing experience. You can assign accommodations when you create or edit a student account: Line Reader Guidelines that the student can move up and down to display one line at a time. Color Chooser Color scheme for the text and background. Read Aloud Test questions and answer options are read aloud to student in English (SWD 594 or ELL) (SBA & HSGA) or in Spanish (SBA ONLY). Note: Only the Read Aloud accommodation needs to be documented in an IEP. Magnifier Zoom levels to enlarge screen text. Reverse Contrast Color contrast toggle between light and dark. Masking Hide areas of the test: one, some, or all answers; or a user- definable rectangular area anywhere in the test.

SBA/HSGA Computer Based Testing Part 4: Assigning Accommodations Before starting a test, the student can customize the Accommodation options that are available to him or her. Students, parents, and educators can view an MP4 video to demonstrate how student will use the accommodations here: www.measuredprogress.org/sba/onlinehelp

SBA/HSGA Computer Based Testing Part 5: Test Session Setup Demo 5: Scheduling a New Test Session Demo 6: Printing Student Tickets

SBA/HSGA Computer Based Testing Part 5: Test Administration Monitoring the Test If you are the test monitor…  Distribute Student Login Tickets for each student assigned to you for testing. Post the Test Access Code for the test session at the front of the room. Monitor students to ensure they have logged on successfully and answer any procedural questions. Speak with your technology coordinator and/or Measured Progress Technical Support (1-877-676-6722) about any technology-related issues that arise. If a student needs to leave the test room for any reason, be sure an escort is available to accompany the student to and from the test room.

SBA/HSGA Computer Based Testing Part 5: Test Administration Pausing the Test During the test session, if a student needs to leave the test room, he or she must click Pause to pause the test. Once clicked, the Pause timeframe lasts for 20 minutes. If a test is paused for more than 20 minutes, the test proctor must restart the test by entering a proctor password at the student’s workstation.

SBA/HSGA Computer Based Testing Part 6: Test Administration After Testing Not all students will complete the test at the same time; however, the test session will end after a set time. When the test sessions ends: Best practices  Instruct students to close and log out of the test session at their workstations. Collect the Student Login Tickets and scratch paper. Note: If some students complete the test before the test session ends, instruct them to sit quietly or engage in a quiet activity at their desks until all students have finished, or until the test session ends.
