China Abuses Human Rights of Citizens By: Abigail Cabral

China’s Social Injustice Problems Chinese authorities target people for harassment Don’t have full rights on freedom of speech and religion

Tibetan’s Mistreatment Tibetan populated areas are tightly sealed off Many face discrimination and harassment "China has been tightening its hold, not just on the monasteries, but all aspects of Tibetan life and culture."

Spiritual leader, Dalai Lama, has been in exile since 1959 “On 6 July, in Tawu, Sichuan province, at least ten Tibetans who had gathered to celebrate the Dalai Lama’s birthday were injured.”

Tibet’s Protests Protests are shut down immediately and violently “Tibetan exile groups said police moved in, firing tear gas and using electric prods, to clear the demonstration."

The Fight for a Freer Society "For the world to become a better place, someone has to pay a price… I think it's glorious to sacrifice for the sake of social progress and fighting injustice.“ – Xu Zhiyong Founded the New Citizen movement in 2012 Put under house arrest jail for four years
