Adjective suffixes The following аsuffixes can be added to nouns and verbs to form adjectives: -al (nation –national) - ly (day –daily) -ic (artist –artistic) - ful (peace-peaceful) -ous (fame-famous) - less (hope-hopeless) - y (thirst-thirsty) - ive (effect-effective)
