What are Higher and Degree Apprenticeships? Intermediate Apprenticeship – Level 2 Equivalent to GCSE’s Advanced Apprenticeship – Level 3 Equivalent to A Levels Higher Apprenticeships – Level 4 & 5 Equivalent of a higher national certificate or foundation degree Degree Apprenticeships – Level 6 & 7 Equivalent of a bachelor's degree or master’s degree

Overview of a degree apprenticeship

What HDA’s are already in existence? Currently 59 Higher or Degree apprenticeships 31 at Level 4 7 at Level 5 16 at Level 6 5 at Level 7 A further 45 HDA’s in development Increasing by 2 or 3 every coupe of weeks at present – out of 45 in development – 16 x L4, 6 x L5, 20 x L6, 3 x L7

Institutional strategy - CHDA Centre facilitates the delivery of high quality higher and degree apprenticeships: advise on apprenticeship standards. react to market demand. provide QA support. manage contractual aspects (including recruitment). manage learner data. manage financials (levy advice). manage competency and behaviour components of each apprenticeship. advise on delivery formats. manage academic schools – to deliver high quality degree programme.

Process of providing apprenticeships Business development (employer not learner). Significant contractual aspects and mapping exercises. Administration of complex financials. Management / monitoring of competency and behaviors. Delivering degree.
