THE COVENANT KEEPING GOD

OPERATING AND SUSTAINING COVENANTS

RECAP Covenants are divine agreements that God has established with His children. It give Him the platform to bless us. Example - the covenants between God and Abraham (Genesis 15:12-14, Genesis 17th 1-10), The covenant between God and David (2nd Samuel 7v1-29, Jeremiah 33 v20-21)

RECAP Our God is a God that keeps covenants. He never fails in keeping covenants. Hebrews 13:8 When a covenant is kept, the blessings tied to the covenants can be accessed freely. When we fail to keep a covenant (as God cannot fail), we deny ourselves the blessings tied to the covenants. Infact, not keeping covenants can attract curses. Deut 11 and 27 There are several covenants in the bible that we can leverage on in our daily walk with God.

OPERATING AND SUSTAINING THE COVENANTS. To activate means to operate or cause to work. God showed the people of Israel his acts but made know His ways to Moses. Psalm 103:7. Whenever you know the ways of God, you can produce His acts. His acts are a function of you knowing His ways. You must understand how the covenants works for you to be able to take the benefits. John 8:32

OPERATING AND SUSTAINING THE COVENANTS. You must be born Again. God cannot have an agreement with you if you’re not part of His sheep. You access to God is through the blood of Jesus Christ. John 3:3-5, Romans 10:9, 2nd Corit 5:17, Eph2:8-9 The Place of Obedience. Covenants gets activates and flourishes on the platform of obedience. The Children of Israel were saved on the platform of obedience during the Passover night. Isaiah 1:19, Deut 28:1 - Joshua 22:5 -

OPERATING AND SUSTAINING THE COVENANTS. Holiness A life of Holiness gives foundation for the release of the blessings /promises of the covenant God expects a life of perfection from anyone that is in a relationship with Him. Genesis 17v1 Unholy acts break the hedge – Joshua 7:1-end Hebrews 12:14, 1 Peter 2:9, 1Leviticus 20:26 Service Your act of service shows loyalty to the God of covenants. Service provokes the blessing of God upon the life of a man. 2 Samuel 6:10-12; 1 Chronicles 15:18-24;, Romans 12:1, 11, Exodus 23:25 - Deut 10:12 - Joshua 24:14

OPERATING AND SUSTAINING THE COVENANTS. Faith in God’s Word. You activate and operate the covenants by your faith. If God has spoken, He wants us to rest assured that what He has spoken will come to pass. You must know that God’s plan for your live is irrevocable Hebrews 10:38, Habakkuk 2:4, Hebrews 11:6 Your Seeds: Another way to sustain the Covenants is with your seeds. The course of history was changed for Abraham when he offered his Son Isaac to God. God swore by Himself – Genesis 22: 1- 19, Hebrews 6:13 History was changed for Solomon when He offered an uncommon sacrifice to God. God gave him a blank cheque. 1Kings 3:3-14

OPERATING AND SUSTAINING THE COVENANTS. Praise and Worship. Praise and worship are like lubricants to the engine of covenants. It has nothing to do with what is happening but a celebration of what is written It oils and renews the covenants. It’s a pointer that you’re committed to the covenant and have unshakable trust in God’s ability to keep His part of the deal Psalms 100:2, John 4:23-24 - Zephaniah 3:17 Psalms 95:1-6, Hebrews 13:15 Psalms 117:1-2, Psalms 100:4 name, Psalms 96:1-9 The Word and Prayers – A man of the word is a man of exploits. The word acts like a trigger to the covenants. It brings to life the spoken Word of God as it relates to the covenants. The Word is a living spirit – John 6:63. Psa 33:6,9, Romans 1:16, Hebrews 11:3

CONCLUSION God is ever committed to keeping his part of the deal. He is unchanging and unbending He desire is flood us with His blessings and He wants the blessings to outlive us. He is seeking for a people that will be committed to the covenants that He has already cut Are You ready to commit ?
