7. By Praying for the people of God. 3:9-12  For what thanksgiving can we return to God for you, for all the joy that we feel for your sake before our God, 10 as we pray most earnestly night and day that we may see you face to face and supply what is lacking in your faith? 11 Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you, 12 and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you… Praying thanks to God on behalf of the Thessalonians. Praying for the opportunity to add to the faith. Praying for God’s direction in his own life and the fellowship. Praying for a supernatural love for God’s people. Praying for abundant increases in love for one another. (Life Group’s strength!)

8. By preparing them for Judgment.

8. By preparing them for Judgment. 3:13 so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

8. By preparing them for Judgment. 3:13 so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints. He wants to present them blameless “hä'-memp-tos”. Which is to say: deserving of no censure, free from fault or defect. I John 2:1-2.

The idea behind holiness is to be set apart from the world and unto God. The genuinely holy person is separated away from the domination of sin and self and the world, and they are separated to God, for His purposes and pleasure.

8. By preparing them for Judgment. At the coming or Parousia of Jesus. Parousia is the future, visible return from Heaven of Jesus, to raise the dead, hold the last Judgments and set up formally and gloriously, the Kingdom of God. This reality kept me faithful from my youth until now. 1 John 3:2-3 Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He (Jesus) appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone that has this hope in him purifies himself even as he is pure!
