Once upon a time, there were 3 little pigs and a big bad wolf.

One pig made his house out of clay, the other pig made his house out of sandstone, the last pig made his house out of black bricks.

When the first and second pig finished their houses they went to the store to get food and supplies.

The third pig who was still finishing his house heard on the radio that the wolf was on the loose and texted the other 2 pigs, “ You need to get into your houses quickly or the wolf might come to get you.”

The wolf had a problem shedding The wolf had a problem shedding. When the wolf came to the 1st pigs house he said, “ Let me in, let me in!” The little pig said, “Not by the hair on the top of my nose!”

Then the wolf said, “I’ll pour water on your house and water your house down!” And he poured water on the house and the first pig’s house turned into a watery mess. The first pig ran to the house made out of sandstone. The wolf shed some hairs along the way.

Then the wolf went to the second pigs house and said, “Let me in, let me in!” The second pig said, “Not by the hair on my face.” The wolf said, “ I will bulldoze your house down !” Then he used a bulldozer to bulldoze the house. He shed some more hairs along the way.

After he did that the 2 little pigs went to the 3rd pig’s house After he did that the 2 little pigs went to the 3rd pig’s house. When the wolf came to the 3rd pig’s he said, “ Let me in! Let me in!” The 3rd pig said, “ If you try anything funny I will call the police.”

When the wolf tried to get in the 3rd pig’s house, the 3rd pig called the police by dialing 911. The wolf got afraid and ran away. The wolf escaped by jumping out a window.

When the police came they brought the crime scene investigators and brought tweezers and plastic bags to collect evidence. They also brought a camera to take pictures of the crime scene. They put yellow tape around the crime scene so that evidence would not get damaged.

After the crime scene investigators collected all the evidence they went to their lab and they analyzed the hair they found. When they looked at the cuticle that is part of the hair they could tell that it was an animal. The cuticle is where the scales are in the hair.

The investigators analyzed the cortex which is the thickest part of the hair and found out that it was a grayish color. The pigment is the color in the hair.

Then the forensic scientists looked at the medulla which is the center of the hair and found out it was a black line. That means that the medulla is Continuous and there are no breaks in the medulla.

When the scientists looked at the medullary index they found out that it was more than ½ the width of the hair.. They can tell it is an animal hair if it is more than ½ micron in length. Human hair is smaller than animal hair. Then the scientists knew that they were looking for an animal.

Then the forensic scientists took some of the pigs hair and examined it. They found out that it was different from the hair collected. It did not match the hair at the crime scene.

When the forensic scientists asked the wolf if they could take a sample of his hair they tested the hair from the pigs house and compared it with the wolf hair sample. They discovered that it matched!

Then a forensic scientist decided to conduct another test before the arrest. The test they wanted to run is the neutron activation analysis.

The neutron activation analysis shows the parts that make up materials The neutron activation analysis shows the parts that make up materials. The hair from the wolf could be used in the neutron activation analysis. The parts of the material are shown by the neutron activation analysis. These parts are called elements. The elements can be found on a periodic table.

The results of the neutron activation analysis proved that it was the wolf hair and it was from the same wolf.

In the end, the wolf got sent to jail because he really stood out In the end, the wolf got sent to jail because he really stood out. He was a gray color and the other wolves were the color black, he was covered in sandstone, and his hair was a match from the neutron activation analysis.
