What is Public Sector Procurement?
Public Procurement government purchases from private sector national and regional level subject to specific rules and policies Public procurement is the process by which government departments or agencies purchase goods and services from the private sector. It takes place at both a national and regional level, and the process will usually be subject to specific rules and policies covering how the relevant decisions are made.

Procurement Staffing/Qualifications Procurement Administrator Bachelor’s in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Public Administration 5 years of experience in purchasing and materials management, including 2 years of administrative and/or supervisory responsibility Preferred certifications: Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) , or Certified Professional in Supply Management (C.P.S.M.) Procurement Officer (3) Bachelor's degree with classes in procurement, supply chain management, business administration 3 years of increasingly responsible buying and contracts administration experience Desired certifications: Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Professional in Supply Management (C.P.S.M) or Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) Procurement Specialist (3) Associate’s degree with preference towards major coursework in bookkeeping, accounting or business Two years of procurement, accounting, clerical or customer service experience Engineering Staffing Deputy Public Works Director - Engineering CIP Design and Construction Manager Engineering Services Manager
