The Ovulona™ predicts and then detects ovulation through an innocuous biophysical (electrochemical) measurement in the vagina as a way of defining the "fertile window" that is objective, precise, minimally intrusive, and instrument-based. The Ovulona is intended for use at home by any woman of childbearing age. … the Ovulona sensor is in resonance with the electrochemical properties of the exocervix/posterior fornix tissues that yield the diagnostically useful signal-versus-time graph (tissue admittance versus day of cycle). What Is Folliculogenesis? The biological foundation of a woman’s well-being.

What Is Folliculogenesis? And What Is Folliculogenesis In Vivo(TM)? Folliculogenesis has been known to biomedical specialists since the late decades of 1900s. It is the process of ovarian function with biologically defined timing of events known as recruitment, selection, dominance and ovulation [G.D.Hodgen, Fertility and Sterility 38:28 1, 1983]. This refers to the formation and maturation of the dominant follicle in the ovary, followed by the follicle rupture and the release of the egg (ovulation); only then, for about 8 to 12 hours, can the egg (or “ovum”) be fertilized. Significantly, too, some other endocrine organs communicate stimulatory and inhibitory signals to the ovary, to which the ovary feeds back its signals. Since in this manner there is a connection between the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland of the brain on the one hand and the two ovaries on the other, this connection is called the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Ovarian axis or (as in the upper diagram) the Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Gonad Feedback Loop.
