Y5/Y6 NETBALL TOURNAMENT St. Matthews Primary School Number 10 Thursday 17th November, 2016 www.stmatthews.cumbria.sch.uk AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS MONDAY FENCING LESSONS FOR Y6 CHILDREN - £2 3.15-4.15pm TUESDAY ASIA CLUB – Lunch time club 12.30 to 1pm TUESDAY CHRISTMAS SPHERE CLUB FOR Y3/4/5/6 CHILDREN £1 3.15-4.15pm THURSDAY LUNCH TIME – LEXIA CLUB THURSDAY FILM CLUB - 3.15 to 5pm £1 SCHOOL VALUES Each week during collective worship we look at our school values. This week we have talked about: ‘CARING’ FOREST SCHOOL It’s Y1 & Y2 class’s turn to do forest school this Friday, They will need warm outdoor clothes and wellies. CHILDREN IN NEED Pudsey Bear has been to see the children today. It’s non uniform day tomorrow, if possible children should wear spots for a donation of £1. On Friday afternoon we are having a cake bake sale, donations welcome. Parents and friends are welcome to come along to school from 2.30pm All money raised will be donated to Children in Need. CLASS ONE SWIMMING It’s Class 1’s last swimming session on Monday. As a treat we will buy the children something each from the snack dispenser. SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS Photograph orders will be collected from school on Monday 21st November. If you would like to order a copy of your child’s photo please return order to school as soon as possible. Y5/Y6 NETBALL TOURNAMENT Y5 and 6 are going to a netball tournament at Beacon Hill School on Monday 21st November. They will be back at school for normal finishing time. JOB VACANCY Pre-school require a cleaner, one hour a day, term time only. If you are interested please contact any member of staff in Pre-school for more details.

CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON TEA Gwen Atkinson (our former cook) is catering at our Afternoon Tea at the Masonic Hall in Aspatria on Saturday 26th November. Tickets are available from Ann Chester, Stacey Harrison and school, Tickets cost: £10 for adults £5 for children Age 9 and over Under 9’s are free. Included in the price, beautifully presented assorted sandwiches, cream cakes, plain cakes, rum scones and jam scones and tea and coffee. The raffle tickets will be drawn at the afternoon tea, please return stubs, money and unsold tickets to school as soon as possible. This promises to be a lovely afternoon: tell all your friends and family and if possible order your tickets soon to give Gwen an idea of how many to cater for.
