Birth The Holy Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W.) was born in Makkah (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) in 570 A.D. His mother, Aminah was the daughter of Wahb bin Abd Al-Manaf of the Zahrah family. His father, Abdullah, was the son of Abd Al-Muttalib. His genealogy has been traced to the noble house of Isma'il, the son of Ibrahim (Abraham) (S.A.W.)

Youth In his youth he believed firmly in the Oneness of Allah (SWT). He lived a very simple life and hated vanity and pride. He was compassionate to the poor, widows and orphans and shared their sufferings by helping them. He was well-known as As-Sadiq (the truthful) and Al-Amin (the trustworthy). He was always trusted as a mediator between two conflicting parties in his homeland, Makkah.

Prophethood At the age of 40 the angel Gabriel (Jibreel) came to him with revelations of his prophethood. The revelation (the Qur'an) continued to come to him over a period of 23 years. In the next 20 years of his life, he communicated the message of Allah to his people, and set an example of how we human beings should live our lives.

The Prophet Mohamed (S.A.W.) Mohamed (S.A.W.) is the last Prophet of Allah. The Qur'an and the Sunnah together constitute the guidance and way of life for those who submit their life to Allah (SWT). People who follow this guidance and way of life are guaranteed by Allah (SWT) to be saved in this world and the Hereafter.

Challenges At the beginning when the Prophet (S.A.W.) called people to Islam and Allah, not many people listened to his call. He faced many challenges from the nobles and leaders He and his followers were subjected to torture, persecutions, isolation and boycotts. The Prophet (S.A.W.) had to be patient and had to look for the protection of Muslims.
