PR TFWs STORM DRAIN IDENTIFICATION PLANNING CONTACT THE MUNICIPAL COORDINATOR Request a copy of the storm sewer system maps to the Municipal MS4 Coordinator Check the storm drains to make sure they are clear of any debris, sediments, plastic trash, leaves, or grass clippings If the storm drains need to be cleaned, contact the Municipal MS4 coordinator and request them to clean the storm drains before the Storm Drain Identification Activity Request the Municipal MS4 Coordinator to paint a strip of 5” around the storm drain DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES

PR TFWs STORM DRAIN IDENTIFICATION ACTIVITY IMPLEMENTATION STEP BY STEP Use a wire brush with handle to remove any surface dust If the surface is painted, use the wire brush with handle to create porosity Use Sikaflex adhesive tube or similar adhesive. Must be used in caulking tube Use tube adhesive for surface installation Place the marker in its place and put significant amount of pressure on it for a minute until the marker borders are touching the surface Remove any excess of glue DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES
