How to write a letter

What do we need to include in our letter?
You need to include: The address of the person writing the letter. The date. The name of the person you are writing to, including a suitable greeting. The main body of the letter, this is the writing bit where you tell the person what you wanted to say. A closing to show the letter is coming to an end. The name/signature of the person writing the letter.
On a blank sheet… Have a go at writing a letter to a friend, or a letter to a person or business. An example might be a letter of complaint or a job application.
Some ideas: FRIENDLY FORMAT FORMAL LETTER Letter from your holiday. Letter from a new place (you have moved house). Letter to a friend who has moved away. Letter to a pen pal. Letter to a friend who is ill. Letter of complaint. Letter to the bank. Letter to your employer/job enquiry. Letter to the police. Letter to a business to praise good service.
