Michigan’s House House Membership is based off population. 110 Representatives Districts have approximately 77,000 to 91,000 residents. Elected for 2 Year Terms Term Limits In 1992 voters adopted an amendment to the Constitution to limit terms to no more than 3. 3 Terms (9 Years)

Michigan’s Senate Senate Membership is based “equally” from 38 districts. 38 Senators Districts have approximately 212,400 to 263,500 residents. Elected for 4 Year Terms Term Limits Limited by the State Constitution 2 Terms (8 Years)
