ABCAP Wellness Mission The vision of ABCAP Wellness Committee is to promote healthy lifestyle choices to ABCAP employees, their families, and customers through education, opportunities and encouragement.

ABCAP Employs 213 People In Adams and Brown Counties

ADAMS/BROWN FIT CLUB GROUP! Is it time to make a change? This is a FUN group Wednesdays @ 5:30 pm at ABACP 406 W. Plum Street Georgetown Classes will include Yoga and many other group fitness activities. Make living better and feeling better a reality!

Making Fitness Fun and Assessable!

Fit Club! Meets each Wednesday Open to the Community Over 54 participants Averaging 10 participants per class

Not a Single Pound Challenge! It's very difficult to maintain weight without gaining additional pounds over the holidays. Research shows that a majority of people gain 1-2 pounds each year between Thanksgiving through the middle of January That 1-2 pound weight gain adds up to the tune of 10-20 pounds over a ten-plus year period leading to significant weight and health issues. This challenge was not about dieting but it is about still having fun enjoying our favorite holiday fare . . . BUT doing so in a mindful manner so you don’t gain weight!

Not a Single Pound Challenge! 28 Participants 56 total lbs lost

Monthly Healthy Lunches! Healthy options for all to share. Food always tastes better when shared! These gatherings make eating at the workplace fun and healthy!

Garden Club Activities include A greenhouse Raised Beds Community Plantings Recycling and Gardening Guest Speakers from local resources Garden Club 6 Participants

ACRMC Employee Wellness has been sponsored by ABDEC through grant money since 2013. Money has been used to buy prizes such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, water bottles, pedometers, jump ropes, fitness mats, exercise videos, and gift cards to sporting goods stores.

ACRMC Employee Wellness 2016 60/215 employees, 27%, signed up to participate in the 2016 Employee Wellness Program. We had the kick off party on 2/3/16. Weights, blood pressures, and heart rates were taken and documented.

First Challenge – Around the World Stair Challenge

Second Challenge – Lace Up to Do Hiking on the A.T.

Third Challenge – Couch to 5K.

Fourth Challenge – Fitness Challenge Challenge 4 – Fitness Test The task… You must choose 4 out of the 6 items listed below!! Jump Rope - 100 Push-ups - 15 Wall-Sit - 40 seconds Plank – 40 seconds Sit ups – 25 Dumbbell curls (5# weight) – 15 each arm   ***Bonus**** 90 second plank dancing to the Cha Cha Slide (WATCH -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbwJvJfJ8Rg ) YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Fall 5K – open to the community. 2016 and 2017 planning… Parades – 4/7 Fall 5K – open to the community. Wellness Calendar – mind, body, and soul. Treadmill Fundraiser. 1 dollar = 1 minute Group Events Hike in Adams County Ski at Perfect North Massage Therapist Our goal for 2017 is to get at least 45% participation from ACRMC employees. We would like to work with our insurance company to make the program more of an incentive Incorporate more group activities. Lunch break activity once weekly.
