GRADUATION ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS Students have 3 options to show readiness for college or career. Complete 7 end-of-course state tests. Students must earn a minimum of 18 out of 35 points ENGLISH I BIOLOGY ENGLISH 2 AMERICAN HISTORY ALGEBRA 1 AMERICAN GOVERNMENT GEOMETRY Each test is scored 1-5 points each Students taking College Credit Plus courses in these subjects will use the course grade, not end-of-course test points, to determine their points earned toward graduation

GRADUATION ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS Obtain a remediation free score on the ACT Student must earn 12 points through one or several credentials within a single career field and achieve a workforce-readiness score on the Work Keys assessment. (MVCTC)

Honors Diploma Presidential Award Honor Cord unweighted GPA 3.5 4 years of core classes – Math, Science, (Chemistry & Physics) English, & Social Studies 3 years of a foreign language, or 2 years each of two languages Fine Arts MUST be completed at Wayne Defined ACT/SAT scores Presidential Award accelerated on end of year tests Honor Cord

Note that NO credit is awarded for this option Students who participate in interscholastic athletics, marching band, Warriorettes, ROTC, or cheerleading for at least two full seasons may opt out of PE classes. Note that NO credit is awarded for this option Students may not combine a P.E. class and a P.E. Option. It must be either 2 P.E. classes or 2 P.E. Options. This option MUST be completed PRIOR to senior year.

Athletic Eligibility ATHLETIC ELIGIBILTY Minimum GPA 2.0 from previous grading period is required Must be passing & enrolled in at least five (5) one credit courses Fourth quarter grades determine eligibility for fall sports Be sure to register with NCAA by the end of JUNIOR year to be eligible for collegiate sports 2.3 is required GPA

Scheduling Guidelines Students will attend a scheduling meeting during the school day. Teachers will make suggestions for appropriate classes Students will schedule during the school day online for classes they request Make sure you sign up for a minimum of six (6) classes per semester Be sure to list alternate choices for electives

You will receive scheduling worksheets in Intervention beginning tomorrow – Tuesday, February 6 ALL completed scheduling forms need to be returned to your intervention teachers during your intervention class. FRIDAY FEBRUARY 10 you will enter your choices on-line through your intervention classes

All schedules will be considered finalized on May 19, 2017 Once a student has made his/her subject selections for the year, there will be no changes except for misplacements or other errors beyond the student’s control. If a schedule change is warranted for other reasons after the 10th day of school, the student will be assigned the grade of “F” on their permanent record. This policy holds true for students moving from an advanced level course to a general level. (i.e. Honors English to English)
