Junior Year….Most Important What have you heard about this? What are some things that are so important during the Junior Year?

Post-Secondary Planning: Junior Year So you want to go to college… According to the Chronicle of Higher Education and Higheredinfo.org 4-Year Public Colleges. PA sends 60.9 % to college right after high school PA Freshman Retention Rate (returning as sophomores) 80% PA graduates 62.9% of those students in 6 years with a Bachelors degree. Those are 4 year public schools. 11th Nationally. More Perspective: In 2013 43,861 students in PA 62.9% graduated in 6 years 16,668 did not graduate in 6 years! According to U.S. News and World Report, 1 in 3 students do not return to college after the first year As many as 1 in 3 first-year students won't make it back for sophomore year. The reasons run the gamut from family problems and loneliness to academic struggles and a lack of money. If schools you're considering have low freshman retention rates, you'll want to ask the admissions office why. *PDE website
