[ Pastor / CONGREGATION ] THE CALL TO WORSHIP Based on Matthew 6:9-13 [ Pastor / CONGREGATION ]

Minister: O God, through Jesus sacrifice you have restored us as your forgiven children.  In his name we pray: People: Our Father, who art in heaven,

Minister: Help us to know you through your inspired Word Minister: Help us to know you through your inspired Word and to live by it as children in your family. People: Hallowed be thy name.

Minister: Give us your Holy Spirit to rule in our hearts, Minister: Give us your Holy Spirit to rule in our hearts, and use us to extend your kingdom of grace to others. People: Thy kingdom come.

Minister: Make us zealous to carry out you will as gladly as the angels do, and to conform our will to yours. People: Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Minister: Merciful Lord, since you are the provider Minister: Merciful Lord, since you are the provider of all things necessary for our bodies; fill us with trust. People: Give us this day our daily bread.

Minister: Continue to erase our sins, and help us gladly to forgive and to do good to those who wrong us. People: And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Minister: We know the devil seeks to destroy our souls and the world lures us to ruin by appealing to the desires of our flesh.  Guard us from the poison of misbelief and the trap of unrepented sin. People: And lead us not into temptation.

Minister: Keep safe our bodies and souls, our property and honor, and above all send the Holy Spirit to preserve our faith in Christ which leads to life everlasting. People: But deliver us from evil.

Minister: For all these petitions we look to you as King of Kings and Lord of your church. People: For Thine is the kingdom,

Minister: You alone hold the power to grant our requests Minister: You alone hold the power to grant our requests. People: and the power,

Minister: We worship you from whom all blessings flow Minister: We worship you from whom all blessings flow. People: and the glory forever and ever.

Minister: Relying on Jesus, who cancelled our sins Minister: Relying on Jesus, who cancelled our sins and made us acceptable in your sight, we pray with confidence: People: Amen. It shall be so.

What a Friend We Have in Jesus Hymn 435

What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry verse 1

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness, verse 2

Are we weak and heavy laden, Cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge - Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer; In His arms He’ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there. * verse 3

Profession of Faith: Psalm 23 (KJV) Profession of Faith: Psalm 23 (KJV) ALL: The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

SILENT PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION

We are the body of Christ; in one Spirit we were all baptized in one body. Make right through and by Christ crucified, dead, buried and resurrected. Let us then pursue all that makes for peace and builds up our common life. The peace of the Lord be with you always People: And also with you.

Because He Lives Hymn # 358

God sent His Son- they called Him Jesus He came to love heal and forgive He lived and died to buy my pardon; An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives

Because He lives I can face tomorrow Because He lives All fear is gone Because I know He holds the future And life is worth the living just because He Lives

The Old Rugged Cross hymn # 327

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, the emblem of suff’ring and shame And I love that old cross, where the dearest and best For a world of lost sinners was slain

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last lay down. I will cling to the old rugged cross, and exchange it someday for a crown

In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine, a wondrous beauty I see; For ‘twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died To pardon and sanctify me

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last lay down. I will cling to the old rugged cross, and exchange it someday for a crown

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true It’s shame and reproach gladly bear. Then He’ll call me someday to my home faraway where His glory forever I’ll share.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last lay down. I will cling to the old rugged cross, and exchange it someday for a crown

Message “ Vertical Faith, And Horizontal Faith, Two Peas in a Pod ” Rev. Dustin Sedlak

“After washing their feet, he put on his robe again and sat down and asked, “Do you understand what I was doing? You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am. And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet.

I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you. I tell you the truth, slaves are not greater than their master. Nor is the messenger more important than the one who sends the message. Now that you know these things, God will bless you for doing them.” ‭‭John‬ ‭13:12-17‬ ‭NLT

“But among you it will be different “But among you it will be different. Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant. Who is more important, the one who sits at the table or the one who serves? The one who sits at the table, of course. But not here! For I am among you as one who serves.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:26-27‬ ‭NLT

“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:11-12‬ ‭ESV

The Lord’s Prayer OUR FATHER, WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME. THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD, AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS; AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL. FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY FOREVER AMEN
