Role Director of Operations Salary £55,928 Essential criteria 1. Previous successful leadership of a senior management team 2. Extensive knowledge and experience of the community justice agenda 3. Experience of working to a Board Role brief This is a unique opportunity to join a new non-departmental public body as a leader, visionary and strategic corporate director. The Director of Operations is an integral role within Community Justice Scotland; as deputy to the Chief Executive you will support the vision of the CE and translate strategic objectives into operational deliverables, lead on all corporate operations of the business, manage the team, and ensure efficiency of delivery for this passionate and values-based organisation. Responsibilities Provide regular organisational reports to the Board Manage the development and implementation of corporate policy and procedure to ensure compliance with all legislative requirements Liaise with external service providers including legal and internal audit to ensure best practice standards Drafting of the Annual Report and Corporate Plan Oversee the financial operations of the organisation Act as Deputy Accountable Officer, undertaking related duties in the absence of the Chief Executive Keep the Chief Executive and Board advised of organisational performance Act as main point of contact for Community Justice Scotland with external organisations Act as Complaints Manager for Community Justice Scotland Provide effective and creative leadership and direction Lead continuous improvement of organisational productivity Identify, recommend and implement initiatives Manage and monitor compliance and appropriate behaviours
