Power Xpert® inControl Power Xpert® C445 System Overview Module Overview Base Control Module Measurement Module Control User Interface The core of the C445 system. Houses all of the protection, monitoring, and control algorithms. Contains native I/O and has communication options. * A base control module is always required when using the C445 system. Samples the current, voltage, power, and energy data consumed by the electric motor. Passes data electronically to the base control module via cable connection on CH-1 or CH-2 port. * A measurement module is always required when using the C445 system Controls the motor application and mounted on the outside of the panel door. Provides diagnostic LEDs and a USB port for upload/download of configuration parameters. * A control user interface is not required (but often utilized) when using the C445 system Software Tool Power Xpert® inControl Accessories Spare Parts Kits CT Kits (136 – 800A) Communication Cards Connection Cables Real-Time-Clock Option Module Industry standard software package that allows for programming, commissioning, controlling, and monitoring of the C445 system. Various accessories expand the capability of the C445 system including communication options, current-transformers (high-current), memory and real-time clock boards, connection cables, and spare parts kits. * With the exception of connection cables, these accessories are not required (but often utilized) when using the C445 system

Primary purpose is to backup Base Control Module configuration parameters

Scalable Intelligent Motor Protection Power Xpert® C445 System Overview Protections “The Power Xpert® C445 global motor management is fully configurable and provides industry leading intelligent motor protection for the entire system – from the incoming power source feeding the motor all the way to the individual pump or load” Scalable Intelligent Motor Protection Voltage (Incoming Line) Current (Motor) Power & Energy (Load)

Power Xpert® C445 System Overview Protections The Power Xpert® C445 will have best-in-class internal (summation method) ground/earth fault sensing – much superior to Simocode External ground/earth fault sensing will not be available until Phase 2. Sensing levels vary by Frame Size but all can achieve <3A through 90A FLA motors. Consult specification to see what level required.

Power Xpert® C445 System Overview Diagnostics – Trip Snapshot In the event that a trip condition occurs, the Power Xpert ® C445 will capture a variety of real-time data parameters and store them into non-volatile storage. This feature is called a Trip Snapshot and provides the user with diagnostic information on the following data parameters: * Trip Snapshot is only retained from the most recent trip event.

Power Xpert® C445 System Overview Advanced Protection – Voltage Loss Restart Voltage Loss Restart: An advanced protection setting that will automatically restart a motor in the event of voltage loss or sag conditions. The following user-definable settings allow the user to customize this protection: (3) Undervoltage time settings: VL Auto Time (OFF, 0.1 – 0.2s, default 0.2s) VL Short Time (OFF, 0.2s – 5.0s, default 0.4s) VL Long Time (OFF, 1.0s – 3600s, default 4.0s) (2) Undervotlage time-delay settings: VL Short Delay (OFF, 0.1s – 500s, default 1.0s) VL Long Delay (OFF, 0.1s – 3600s, default 10.0s) (1) Voltage Loss level setting (50% - 110%, default 70%) (1) Voltage Return level setting (50% - 110%, default 90%) Assumptions: Control Power– C445 relay can withstand 50% control power for 200ms, allowing for “Auto-Time” restarts without additional UPS or separate sourced control power. If control voltage dips are greater than this, C445 relay may power down. If control power to C445 relay remains constant during main undervoltage conditions (UPS/or separate source), all (3) restart time/delays can be utilized. Protection - When Voltage Loss Restart is used, the standard Under Voltage function is disabled in the C445 Contactor – The contactor will drop out in undervoltage conditions when voltage falls below drop-out value of contactor coil. This protection is not intended to hold the coil in, rather automatically pull it back in when voltage returns.

Power Xpert® C445 System Overview Operation Modes – Multiple Starter Control Profiles The C445 relay can be configured to one of several predefined operation modes. The selection of a predefined operation mode defines the relay inputs and outputs for that application. Each operation mode is designed to meet the requirements of a common application configuration. Operation modes can be controlled via 2-wire or 3-wire control schemes. Overload Only – Most Basic Configuration Traditional motor overload applications, no control of contactor Starter Profiles Profiles for common starter applications FVNR, FVR, Star/Delta, Two Speed, Two Speed Dahlander, Auto-Transformer Starter Feeder Control – HMCP/MCCP Two modes of operation: with our without actuation Specialty Profiles Contactor Control – Uses an open command to deactivate contactor control relays and a close command to activate General Purpose I/O – provides user 4 inputs/ 3 outputs that can be controlled over a fieldbus network
