HUMAN SERVICE AGENCIES CURRENTLY SUPPORTED IN 2017 Our Human Service program, organizations we support and human systems provide social innovations that are helpful in problem resolution and assist with restoring and enhancing the quality of life for individuals, families and children in our community. REQUEST FOR CONTINUED FUNDING FOR 2016 RECEIVED

HISTORY AS NON-PROFIT SERVICE AGENCIES HAVE APPROACHED THE TOWN OF PLAISTOW FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT, THE GOVERNING BOARD HAS TAKEN THE REQUEST AND PRESENTATIONS UNDER ADVISEMENT AND VOTED TO INCLUDE THE FUNDING REQUEST AS A WARRANT ARTICLE FOR APPROVAL BY THE LEGISLATIVE BODY AT TOWN MEETING.

FAMILY MEDIATION AND JUVENILE SERVICES LOCATED IN ATKINSON, NH OFFERING FREE OR LOW COST PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE CRITICAL SERVICES TO YOUTH AND FAMILIES MEDIATING TO PREVENT DELINQUENCY AND DISPLACEMENT. CURRENTLY RECEIVING $10,408 FROM PLAISTOW WITH ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM 5 OTHER COMMUNITIES AND THE STATE OF NH. REQUESTING LEVEL FUNDING AT $10,408 FOR 2017.

ROCKINGHAM COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM RCA, LOCATED IN SALEM, NH PROVIDES ESSENTIAL SERVICES TO LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO PREVENT FALLING INTO POVERTY AND/OR HOMELESSNESS. THE OUTREACH CENTERS PROVIDE HELP WITH FUEL/ELECTRIC ASSISTANCE, CRISIS SERVICES AND EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRIES. PLAISTOW FUNDS $10,612 AND IS ONE OF 36 COMMUNITIES IN ROCKINGHAM COUNTY THAT PROVIDE ADDITIONAL REVENUE. Tel 603-893-9172 REQUESTING LEVEL FUNDING AT $10,612 FOR 2017.

PREGNANCY CARE CENTER REQUESTING LEVEL FUNDING AT $2,200 FOR 2017. THE PCC IN HAVERHILL, MA PROVIDES FREE SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUALS FROM PLAISTOW FACING CRISIS PREGNANCY BY PROVIDING SUPPORT, MATERIAL ITEMS AND FOOD FOR THE FIRST 18 MONTHS AFTER BIRTH. PLAISTOW FUNDS $2,200. Tel 978-373-5718 REQUESTING LEVEL FUNDING AT $2,200 FOR 2017.

HAVEN REQUEST FUNDING OF $4,500 FOR 2017. 7 THESE TWO AGENCIES WERE PREVIOUSLY FUNDED INDIVIDUALLY. ON JULY 1, 2015, BOTH LEGALLY MERGED INTO ONE ORGANIZATION PROVIDING RESIDENTS WITH ACCESS TO CRISIS SUPPORT FOR DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE. CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER REQUESTING LEVEL FUNDING AT $1.250 FOR 2017. THE CENTER PROVIDES A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES FOR THE EVALUATION OF ABUSE AND EXPLOITATION, MAKING REFERRLS TO SERVICES TO WORK TOWARDS PREVENTING FUTURE ABUSE. CENTER FOR LIFE MANAGEMENT CLM PROVIDES COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TO INDIVIUDALS, COUPLES AND FAMILIES THROUGH ALL STAGES OF LIFE. INCLUDED SERVICES ARE PSYCHIATRY, PRESCIPTION MEDICATION AND MANAGEMENT, THERAPIES, HOMELESS AND HOUSING OUTREACH, EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION SERVICES. RETIRED SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM-RSVP VOLUNTEERS HELP OLDER RESIDENTS (60+) MAINTAIN INDEPENDENCE BY PROVIDING CARE AND COMPANIONSHIP BY PARTNERING WITH OTHER AGENCIES INCLUDING NURSING AND DAYCARE FACILITIES, FOOD BANKS, SHELTERS AND LIMITED TRANSPORTATION FOR MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS. REQUESTING LEVEL FUNDING AT $850 FOR 2017. RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program), a nationwide volunteer program,  invites you to use your life experience and skills to answer the call of your neighbors in need Tel 603-228-1193

LAMPREY HEALTH CARE REQUESTING LEVEL FUNDING AT $3,090 FOR 2016. LAMPREY HEALTH CARE PROVIDES PRIMARY MEDICAL CARE TO UNINSURED AND UNDERSERVED MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY. ADDITIONAL PROVIDES TRANSPORTATION TO SENIOR AND ADULTS WITH DISABILITES TO APPOINTMENS AND NECESSARY LOCAL ERRANDS. FUNDING FOR 2015 IS $3,090. CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES CFS PROVIDES CHILDREN AND FAMILIES WITH SUPPORTIVE SOCIAL SERVICES TO INCLUDE, COUNSELING, SCHOOL PERFORMANCE, FAMILY SUPPORT AND STABILIZATION AFTER CHAOTIC EVENTS TO PRESERVE AND STRENGTHEN THE AT RISK CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. THEIR SERVICES ARE PREVENTATIVE IN NATURE TACKLING PROBLEMS BEFORE THEY REACH A CRISIS REQUESTING LEVEL FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 FOR 2017 Tel 603-518-4000

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY MEALS ON WHEELS RNMOW PROVIDES NUTRICIOUS MEALS TO OLDER AND DISABLED RESIDENTS HELPING TO PRESERVE THE LONG TERM HEALTH BENEFIT OF WELL BEING AND INDEPENDENCE.
