Ultimate and CONNECT Radio System Simple and intelligent – for the safest connections

Residential building control Update residential properties – simple, fast and flexible

CONNECT Radio System at a glance Advantages and functions Product range Clever installation Excellent design Application examples Access via schneider-electric@home Access via WLAN

Reliable functions, reliable radio connections Re-Routing technology CONNECT Radio System finds new ways of transmitting the signal Sometimes it leads to the target receiver direct or it is forwarded via another receiver All AC powered devices act’s as a router for the signal Without re-routing technology With re-routing technology

Always in dialogue Transmitter and receiver They are in dialogue for optimal transmission of the radio signal The receiver sends a response when it has received the signal from transmitter If the reception acknowledgment is missing once (e.g. due to a reflective wall), the CONNECT Radio System automatically searches for another way to transmit the radio signal to the receiver For example, via another radio receiver in an adjacent room that can forward the signal to the targeted receiver

Z-wave: established worldwide Z-wave: Basis of the CONNECT Radio System Interference-free: frequency 868 MHz Specially reserved for short-distance radio No interference from other control, identification and positioning systems and audio devices transmitting in parallel

Z-wave: established worldwide CONNECT transmits signals only when a radio transmitter is actuated (sensor network) Radio transmission capacity is negligible in comparison to: wireless DECT mobile telephones mobile phones WLAN systems Completely safe in terms of building biology Transmission capacity of DECT mobile telephones and mobile phones is up to 10.000 times higher than that of the CONNECT Radio System

Configuration method There are two configuration methods Easy CONNECT To connect up to five devices located close together (e.g. in one room). Configuration is carried out manually without any tools. CONNECT radio configurator For systems between different rooms with up to 100 devices and extensive functions (scenes, central functions, timers, individual key assignment) and much more.

CONNECT Radio System at a glance Advantages and functions Product range Clever installation Excellent design Application examples

Application example Entrance: Safety first with central off Situation Wouldn’t it be nice for your customers to know that everything really is switched off when they leave the house? The light? The coffee machine? The iron and all typical stand-by devices? Offer them an easy to install and handle central off solution.

Application example Entrance: Safety first with central off The Schneider Electric solution The CONNECT radio central unit installed in the hallway gives all the answers at the push of a button. When the “Central off” scene is activated, all radio receivers belonging to the scene switch off automatically. Any lights that have been left on anywhere in the house are switched off immediately. This includes the ceiling lamps. Thanks to the variation of CONNECT radio receivers, they can be quite easily integrated into the CONNECT radio system. In order to save energy and increase security, all loads attached via a CONNECT radio plug adapter are detached from the mains. For example the iron, the coffee machine or typical stand-by devices like the television and stereo.

Application example Living room: Watching TV Situation Controlling the shutters via radio frequency with a remote control doesn‘t mean one more remote control cluttering the living room table. In fact, it means the opposite: the CONNECT remote control works with TV sets and DVD players as well!

Application example Living room: Watching TV The Schneider Electric solution The radio universal remote control not only replaces all the remote controls for the TV set and DVD player it also takes control of all CONNECT radio recievers implemented in the living room. With individual scenes stored on it, the perfect surrounding for watching TV is just a push of a button away. Only one remote control for all devices – no cluttered living room tables. To control the shutters via radio frequency with the remote control, there only needs to be one radio receiver installed at the shutter.

Application example No worries on holiday: Timer functionality Situation Give your customers the good feeling that their house looks occupied while they are on holidays. With the possibility to time control recurring actions a simple yet effective presence simulation can be established with CONNECT radio system.

Application example No worries on holiday: Timer functionality The Schneider Electric solution For simulating presence when away from the house, different timers can be activated. One timer for one lamp in the bedroom and another timer for the blinds in the child‘s room. Every evening, the intelligent time switch function automatically switches on the light in the bedroom and lowers the blinds in the child’s room. After a while the lights are turned out again. In the morning the blinds in the child’s room open. In addition, the lighting automatically turns itself on and off via a timer function both inside and outside the house. The house thus looks occupied even in the absence of the inhabitants who can enjoy their holidays with an untroubled mind.

Make the most of your energy.
