Aims of the Day To support Team Leaders in their understanding of national standards by: Sharing good practice and experiences gathered through recent Verification activity Reviewing and discussing candidate evidence and other possible forms of evidence (based on current approved Prior Verification UNIT ASSESSMENT ONLY) Discussing this evidence and associated Marking Instructions with colleagues Asking questions and seeking clarification about national standards Looking for opportunities to confidently present the information to your Local Authority

Aims of the Day By the end of this session you will be able to: Have further awareness of course standards by taking part in dialogue with your colleagues Have a greater understanding of what constitutes National 4 and 5 approaches to unit assessment through a portfolio type approach and a greater understanding of IACCA marking Increase confidence and generate ideas about how you can fulfil your role as Nominee by working with colleagues in your Local Authority

Finish Section 4 There should be evidence of the surfaces being properly prepared appropriately to the requirements of the selected finish. The finish should be to a high standard and free of flaws or blemishes. Surface finish must be applied consistently with no runs; raised grain should be smoothed after first application of finish if, or as required.
