How to join severn stars player pathway Severn Stars Nova Academies run from 5 sites throughout the region, King’s School Worcester, Hartpury College, Millfield School, Headington School Oxford and Birmingham Metropolitan College and begin in September 2017. The U17 NPL Severn Stars team for 2017-18 Season will be selected from players within the Nova Academies. U19 and Development teams will also take part in a 40 week programme throughout the season as part of the Severn Stars Player Pathway. Nova Academies If you are a talented player who was born in 2001 or later, and you did not attend U17 NPL Severn Stars trials on Tuesday 27th June 2017 or Tuesday 4th July 2017, and you would like to apply to trial to be part of a Nova Academy, please contact l.walker@worc.ac.uk Players who attended trials on Tuesday 27th June and Tuesday 4th July 2017, have already been considered for Nova Academies and will receive an email if they have been successful in gaining a place in a Nova Academy by 10th August 2017. If you are a County, Regional or Regional Performance Academy coach who would like to put forward an athlete for a Nova Academy (who was born in 2001 or later, and did not attend U17 NPL Severn Stars trials on Tuesday 27th June 2017 or Tuesday 4th July 2017) then please contact l.walker@worc.ac.uk U19 NPL Severn Stars Programme If you are a talented player who was born in 1999 or 2000, and you did not attend U17 NPL Severn Stars trials on Tuesday 27th June 2017 or Tuesday 4th July 2017, and would like to trial to be part of our U19 programme, please contact l.walker@worc.ac.uk The U19 NPL trials will take place the week beginning Tuesday 12th September. The training will take place on Tuesday’s (Gloucester University) and Thursday’s (Worcester University). U21 / Development Severn Stars Programme Severn Stars are keen to continue the player pathway to include U21 / Development teams as a link between junior teams and the senior Severn Stars players. We are waiting for further information from England Netball regarding the structure of these competitions. Therefore please continue to check our website and social media channels for further details about trials etc.
