“This is the beginning of what they will do” Genesis 11:1-9 The Story of the Tower of Babel ‘people are scattered and languages confounded’

People without God Humanities ambition; to be independent from Jehovah God. God will and does intervene in the affairs of humanity when they conflict w/ His. God’s one visit makes all the difference.

People without God Genesis is not chronological; (chapter 10:5-32) (10:5) divided into lands, clans, nations and languages. (10:8,10) Nimrod is probably the leader with the power and influence. People without God The Agenda of Humanity: (vs.1-4) To Contest the Authority of God. To ‘think’ unity is a great strength. To fear being scattered from their location. Pride goes before destruction, Proverbs 16:18

People without God II. The Intervention of God into Human Activity: (vs.6,7) God is watching all human activity. Rebellion invites God’s intervention. The power of communication is in God’s control.

People without God III. The Redemptive Plan of God: (vs.8,9) God meant for His world to be populated. God will defeat all human efforts to replace worship of Him. God will always raise up a ‘Voice of Truth’ to deliver a redemptive message. Genesis 12:1-3 ‘The Land and The Seed’
