God's Answer To The Sinners Problem Pastor Samuel Berry III.

Lesson Objective Each listener to have a clear understanding of the sinful state of humanity. To see the divine intervention of God, on humanity's downward spiral in sin. To ignite a spirit of gratitude for the grace given for the salvation from the wrath of God.

Introduction Article of Faith IV. The Way of Salvation. We believe that the Scriptures teach that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace; through the meditorial offices of the Son of God; who by the appointment of the Father, freely took upon him our nature, yet without sin; honored the divine law by his personal obedience, and by his death made a full atonement for our sins; that having risen from the dead, he is now enthroned in heaven; and uniting in his wonderful person the tenderest sympathies with divine perfections, he is in every way qualified to be a suitable, a compassionate, and an all-sufficient Savior.

Dilemma of Sin Our greatest and most prestigious actions was corrupted by and defiled by sinful nature. One mans transgressions invoked a death sentence on all mankind, spiritually and separated humanity from divinity. Vs. 1. Dead in sin. Vs. 2. Enslaved in sin. Vs. 3. Condemned in sin.

Intervention of the Sovereign Only God Can Forgive Sins. Intervening of he who is Holy and whose holiness demands justice and payment. Future hope for humanity begins with God's Mercy. The intervention of the sovereign reveals to us the great effort to save his lost his image-bearers. We are beneficiaries of his mercy because of his love.

Repositioning for the future Quickened together! Raised together! Seated together!

God's dualistic response to sin The Gift of Grace & The Gift of Faith For without them we cannot receive salvation!

Our response to God's Gift Reflecting his craftsmanship in our daily lives. Walking in them, living a life that reflects thanksgiving and praise unto God for the miracle of Salvation.
