How To Register for ROTC For incoming cadets -Created by Madelyn Comito

Set Up MyPack Account NCSU provides you with a personal e-mail. You should receive an e-mail to your personal account with information on how to activate this new account This password will also be your password for your “My Pack Portal” NCSU will also provide you with a “Unity ID” –this is your username for your “My Pack Portal”

Logging Into ‘MyPack’ Go to website https://mypack.ncsu.edu/ There click on the Red state symbol labeled ‘NCSU Faculty/Staff/Students

Logging In Using your Unity ID and Password, log in Your Unity ID should be the same as the beginning of your e-mail Ex: xxsmith@ncsu.edu would have the Unity ID xxsmith Your Unity Password should be the same as your e-mail

For Students Now that you have entered the MyPack Portal, click on the upper tab ‘For Students’ Under ‘Academic’ click on ‘Enrollment Wizard’ 1 2

Next Click on ‘Add To Cart’ (Term should be ‘2016 Fall Term’)

Searching for Class Click on ‘Class Search’ Select ‘MS- Military Science’ Keep course number as ‘equals’ and type in “101” If nothing comes up, it may be due to a conflict with your current class schedule make sure to unclick “only courses that fit my calendar” ROTC is a required course to be a member of the WolfPack Battalion, it should take precedence over courses you can take later on Next click ‘Search’ 1 If nothing comes up, unclick this! MS- Military Science 2 101 3 4

Select Course There are two different ROTC courses offered, they only differ in the days of the lectures Next to the one you wish to take, select ‘Add To Cart’ Tuesday or Wednesday; All of the battalion has the same lab time/day OR

Enroll Next you will be taken automatically to the ‘My Shopping Cart’ tab Here your class will be displayed on your schedule in yellow (not pictured) At the bottom of the screen click ‘Enroll’

YOU’RE ENROLLED IN ROTC! Congratulations! You are successfully enrolled in ROTC!

Lab It is helpful to have roughly an hour free before the scheduled lab time –lab is not always within walking distance If you have schedule conflicts you can not work around reach out to your sponsor They will direct you on the best possible solution or steps to take

While Working on Your Schedule You may accidentally sign up for a class you don’t want to take, or change your mind about a class Do not stress, dropping a class is simple and does not affect your grades or transcript Under ‘My Schedule’ select the box on the class you wish to drop At the bottom of the screen click ‘drop’
