Work of the AG between February-May 2016, 2 meetings in Brussels Advisory Group report received on 1 June 2016 Continued meetings throughout WP 2018-20 preparation cycle (latest one on 28 November 2016) Education and Culture

AG recommends (I): Continue bottom-up, excellence-driven approach but reflect changing landscape of research Develop skills for the future (open science, digital and data skills; teaching skills) More flexibility (e.g. part-time work) and possible blended mobility Adequately address inter-/multidisciplinary research Continue/strengthen public outreach and engagement Education and Culture

AG recommends (II): Promote diversity and inclusion for equal opportunities (gender dimension, disabled researchers, researchers displaced by conflict) Better address widening participation Continue to ensure adequate business participation Award Seal of Excellence to excellent, non-funded proposals Better support outgoing mobility to other countries than US – e.g. China, India, Brazil Education and Culture
