Friendship and Safety Council Tuesday 8th November 2016

Friendship What have we done so far? Although we have only been back for 8 weeks we have already started lots of exciting projects. The PTA have raised lots of money for us to buy things for the playground so the friendship and learning council got together to think about what we could buy.

Friendship What have we done so far? We asked for some new goal posts, lines to be painted on the handball courts, picnic tables which had games on and many more ideas. We shared our ideas with Mrs Sebo to see if she liked them as well and she has passed them on to the PTA.

Safety What have we done so far? We have written a letter to the emergency services to try and get them to come and meet us so that we can interview them. We are still waiting on a reply but please let your class safety representative know if you have any questions you would like to ask them.

What is the missing word? ‘The only way to have a _______________ is to be one.’ Ralph Waldo Emerson

What is the missing word? ‘The only way to have a friend is to be one.’ Ralph Waldo Emerson

A jar of kindness, A spoonful of listening, A can of honesty, A tube of trust, A carton of patience, 1kg of forgiveness, A box of encouragement, A pot of respect, A bag of loyalty, and a bottle of fun.

What qualities does a friend have? A friend should be: Honest A good listener Trustworthy Encouraging Caring There for you when you need them Someone who gives you compliments Someone who asks if you are okay

What is a friend? A friend is someone who is there for you when he'd rather be somewhere else. Friendship doubles your joys, and divides your sorrows. Friends are the cherries in the haribo tangfastics of life

Remember… If you see a child sat on the friendship bench go and ask if they would like to play with you. It is always nice to make new friends so ask to play with children you don’t normally play with. It is okay to have different groups of friends.

Reflection Please bow your head for a moment of reflection. We must be thankful for our friends that we have and who look after us. We must look after them in the same way. Take a few moments to think about how you are going to be a good friend today and every other day.
