India aspires to raise the share of manufacturing in India's GDP from current 16% to 25% by 2020. The campaign is designed to facilitate investment, foster innovation, protect intellectual property and build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure. In turn, a boost to manufacturing will create jobs, increase purchasing power and create a larger market for manufacturers. Aims to turn the country into a global manufacturing hub.
