Welcome to Mrs. Klier’s Math Class College: McKendree University Experience: 10 years (3 at Centralia High School and 7 here) Family: My husband is a high school math teacher, and I have four children (Delaney 7, Carson 5, McKenna 3, and Madilyn)

Supplies Needed EVERYDAY your child should bring: A pencil Notebook or Binder Folder or paper Calculator (when needed) Textbook/workbook

Classroom Rules Always show respect for everyone in the classroom Raise your hand if you would like to speak, and wait to be called on Always come to class prepared ALWAYS ask questions ALWAYS have a positive attitude

Attendance Unexpected absence Expected absence Check the kiosk outside office Number of days absent + 1 to make up work Expected absence Work picked up ahead of time Needs to be turned in when student comes back Work picked up after Follow procedures for unexpected absence

Homework Will have homework EVERY night Usually 15-25 problems Quick check Hand-in Trade-and-grade Usually 15-25 problems Will have class time to start/ work on assignment Student needs to use time wisely If not, I will allow some time at the start of next class period Some assignments will be finished in class ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS

Tests/Quizzes There will be approximately two quizzes per chapter/ unit and one test Students will know several days in advance that test or quiz is coming Math 7 classes will have review before Quizzes There WILL be review before tests for ALL classes
