Cyber Insurance What does it cover: Loss or damage to digital assets such as data or software programmes Business interruption from network downtime Cyber exhortation where third parties threaten to damage or release data if money is not paid to them Customer notification expenses when there is a legal or regulatory requirement to notify them of a security or privacy breach Reputational damage arising from a breach of data that results in loss of intellectual property or customers

What does it cover continued: Cyber Insurance What does it cover continued: Theft of money or digital assets through theft of equipment or electronic theft Security and privacy breaches, and the investigation, defence costs and civil damages associated with them Multi-media liability, to cover investigation, defence costs and civil damages arising from defamation, breach of privacy or negligence in publication in electronic or print media Loss of third party data, including payment of compensation to customers for denial of access, and failure of software or systems

Gary Hibberd Gary began his career as an IT programmer back in 1985 and has had a passion for all things cyber related since then. His broad range of experience in almost every discipline in IT means he knows ‘What good looks like’ when it comes to protecting your business and reputation. He is a published author, experienced and qualified in Information Security & Business Continuity who is a passionate speaker on cyber security and related disciplines. Gary has helped businesses as diverse as the RSPCA to Late Rooms.com to improve their security and recovery capabilities across the world and held the role of European Crisis Management Leader for GE Money. He has experience working for local government, legal services, banking and retail sectors. Gary believes that his breadth of experience has one common denominator – “Data is key to the business and it’s at increasing risk, internally and externally.”
