SYSTEMS

INSTRUCTIONS: Click on the dollar value to reveal the problem. When on the problem slide, click on the picture on the bottom left of the slide to reveal the answer. When on the answer slide, click on the picture at the bottom left of the slide to return to the game board. This program should automatically darken problems on the board when you have completed them. Be sure NOT to resave this file after you have played the game or all of the used questions will remain dark forever. TIPS: I play this game by doing the following: All students have a piece of paper in front of them. One student in each row has a dry-erase board (or electronic “voters”, if you have them). Whenever a student has the board, they write “BOARD” on their paper for that problem. They should work out the problem on their dry erase board. The first person holding up the correct answer wins. I do not allow anyone to help anyone else. This keeps students more accountable and helps to even the teams– preventing the genius from hogging all of the action. Everyone without a board works out the problem on their papers. After each question, the person with the board passes it back. I keep score on the chalkboard by row. Of course, I award the winning team with the actual cash at the end of the period.

About Algebra Awesomeness I am a National Board Certified math teacher with a Master’s degree in education. I have a strange combination of Math and English Education degrees. This strange mix helps me to be the word problem guru at my school. More importantly, I am married to another math teacher who now stays at home full-time with our children. We began this venture of Algebra Awesomeness at the end of 2012. What a blessing! This store has helped me to share creations with other teachers and to learn from them. It has also helped us to pay some huge, unexpected medical bills for our son. Our family is incredibly grateful to you and to all of our customers for their support. We cannot thank God enough for this great blessing of an extra income and encouragement. Thank you!
