Location Taiwan Tech is located in Taipei City, the capital of Taiwan. Taipei is the political, economic and cultural center of Taiwan, and also part of a major industrial area. International Ranking THE World University Rankings: 2015 Universities under 50 Years Old– No. 41. QS 2015 Asia Top 200: No. 45; QS 2015 World University Rankings: No. 260 World-Class Design Education The iF Concept Design Awards World University Ranking: 2011---- 2015 No.1 in the world. Recipient of many international design awards, including iF, reddot, SIGGRAPH, Nagoya Design Do!, and Braun Prize. Graduates Perform Well NTUST graduates ranked No. 4 for overall performance by enterprises in Taiwan according to the survey by 104 Job Bank and Global Views Monthly Magazine.

Achievements (2/2) Outstanding Faculty Ranked No. 6 in Taiwan for the number of faculty members who have received the National Science Council’s Distinguished Research Award. Optimal University-Industry Cooperation Ranked No. 4 in Taiwan after receiving the Ministry of Education’s University-Industry Cooperation Award five times to date. Also ranked No. 1 by the National Science Council for the cumulative total of fees received for technology licensing. Ongoing Invention and Innovation Only university to receive the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ National Invention and Creation Award in 2007. International Campus and Outreach Nearly 700 international degree program students enrolled in the 2014-15 academic year (7% of total student body). Over 450 incoming and outgoing exchange students in the 2014-15 academic year. International students represent 44 different countries. Approximately 250 sister universities worldwide.

Graduation Requirements: Requirements are established by faculty committees in your department according to university regulations. A professor CANNOT change or waive the requirements on his own. Working in Taiwan After Graduation The Taiwan government strongly encourages international students to consider looking for a job in Taiwan after they graduate. Taiwan Tech’s Job Fair in March has such opportunities available. The OIA also sends notifications of job openings from local companies to our international students. If you hope to work in Taiwan, it is best to LEARN MANDARIN!!
