Have your conference speaker begin with a testimony of a transformative experience with God lived at a retreat

John 20:26-28 “And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.”

John 20:26-28 “Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.”

The Peace of Christ The peace of Christ is welcome. The peace of Christ is restoration. The peace of Christ is power. The peace of Christ is healing. The peace of Christ is victory. The peace of Christ is life. The peace of Christ is resurrection.

How God encounters us Today you have come to this retreat. But without a doubt: You’re not here because you decided it.

How God encounters us You’re here because God decided it so. This day was written in God’s plans from long ago. God has been waiting to meet you from eternity. Today, God is in this place. He has come to this retreat.

What will happen in this retreat? God will meet with you. God will give you peace. A peace that restores and that will bring to your life spiritual, emotional and physical healing.

What will happen in this retreat? You will experience God’s presence. Jesus will offer you true freedom. God will restore your life and will invite you to work with Him in restoring the lives of others.

Nothing is impossible for God When Jesus visited his friends there was a wall and the doors were shut. Even so, Jesus entered through. It doesn’t matter what walls are present in your life (doubts, sin, fears or chains of addictions): Nothing can stop God.

Nothing is impossible for God “38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39).”

How can I meet with God? Remember: God is here to meet you. He has already done the majority of the work. Just have an open mind. Open your heart!

How can I meet with God? Don’t allow anything to stop you: Choose to experience freedom at this retreat. Don’t interrupt others because God is always speaking. Be alert to what God speaks to you in intense prayer and reading of the Bible.

Because God is here … We will focus on God (we will not use phones or electronic equipment). … We will close the doors to all distraction just as the Disciples did.

Because God is here … We will make this place our home. You are welcome and appreciated here. … We challenge you to try God’s power and to lift up your hands toward his blessings.

At this moment we’re going to pray At this moment we’re going to pray. Ask Jesus that he would allow you to begin to receive and feel of his deep peace.
