Freshman Transition Program Mr Freshman Transition Program Mr. Phil Smart Vice Principal, Supervisor of Technology & Student Activities

Freshman Transition Program The Freshman Summer Transition Program is designed to prepare students for the academic, social and personal changes they will experience during high school.  The program focuses on issues that include building healthy relationships, internet/social media safety, self-confidence and self-discipline, sense of belonging in the school environment, understanding post-secondary education and life-long learning, time management, organizational and study skills, team building, decision-making and self-reflection.

Two Components to the Program Summer Freshman/New Student Transition  Camp Student Alliance/Freshman Seminar

Summer Freshman Transition Camp The purpose of the summer camp is to alleviate the anxiety many students feel as they are about to begin their high school experience. How will I find my classes? Will I be able to make new friends? What are the expectations of high school teachers? How do I get involved in sports and activities? What do colleges want to see?

Summer Freshman Transition Camp 2017 The camp runs for three days: August 22, 23 and 24th from 9am to 1pm.   Our Student Alliance members will get to know our freshman class and lead the freshman in activities and lessons.  During these three days the technology department will deploy iPads to the freshman students.

Summer Freshman Transition Camp Registration Please register for the Summer Transition Camp Through Family ID Cost is $50.00 Go to: www.eccrsd.us/ Parents & Students – Class of 2021 Please be advised the transportation is not provided
