Movie Maker Do you have thousands of photos? Videos? Have you ever tortured your friends and family by making them watch hours and hours of them? Would you like to be able to create great quality videos of some of them and have a more usable 10 minute show for them?
Movie Maker Windows XP Vista 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 All of these have FREE movie maker programs Microsoft calls it Movie Maker
Movie Maker You can put a bunch of pictures in a project, add a song or two, then tell it to make the pictures fit the music so it just works perfectly. You can trim videos so you only have what you want Produce a final product for many places
Movie Maker Click Start Start typing movie and you should see Movie Maker, click on it If you don’t see it you need to install it http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/essentials-home Be careful!!! Be sure to only select what you want or you get tons of extra software
Movie Maker – Photo Project Once it is opened click add photos and videos Browse your hard drive and pick the photos you want, click open. You will see the photos in the big white area Click before the first picture and click Title Type in what you want and click the first pic to set the title
Movie Maker – Photo Project The black vertical bar is your slider, drag it to the middle of the first pic Click Caption Type something and click the next pic Drag
Movie Maker – Photo Project You don’t have to put the caption in the middle, I just point it out because it is nice to know you can. The start of a pic is sometimes best. Title – Complete black slide with text Caption – Text box that floats over the content
Movie Maker – Photo Project Click Add Music Browse your hard drive and pic a song or two Your song will fill up the project Show how to start music at a specific point Show how to end music at a specific point Show the Fit to Music in Project Tab Show how to change title/caption font & color Show how to make any slide longer
Movie Maker – Photo Project When you are done click the Home tab Check this area You can publish right to Onedrive, Facebook, Youtube, Flickr, and make your own by using the Save Movie drop down arrow
Movie Maker – Photo Project Save As: Pick 1080 for nice full size stuff Burn a DVD to play Email – Small and easy to send but quality is lower. Just attach it to an email Many other options
Movie Maker – Photo Project So far this has been for photos only Now let’s add a video, the first step is to do your pix first, it just works better this way Open movie maker, add pix, add music, fit pix to music, adjust start time, stop time, fade in, fade out. Now you can add your video, put the slider at the end
